11 Last Conductor Operation
Saturday 29th November 1980 was the last day of two man driver and conductor crew operation within Hants & Dorset.
The final duties being operated by Bristol Lodekka FL’s 1210 (originally 1485) and 1211 (originally 1486). 1210 subsequently became the last bus to use the Bournemouth bus station.
Phil Davies was on hand armed with his camera to record this historical event. Both 1210 and 1211 are seen here at Wimborne Square just prior to midnight with 1211 captured later at Poole Depot having completed it’s final turn of duty.
