AEL 2B

AEL 2B Original fleet number 894 renumbered 1008 in September 1971. A Bristol MW6G chassis number 213.154 with ECW C39F body number 14465/2 new in April 1964. Allocated to Southampton, Winchester and Eastleigh it was briefly downseated to C27F whilst at Winchester in November 1973 for use as an information centre being reseated by March 1974. NBC local coach livery was applied in May 1974. Withdrawn from service in January 1976 and sold to Herbert Carter School at Poole in March 1976. It was purchased for preservation in April 1984. MMW 354G

 MMW 354G Original fleet number 824 renumbered 604 in September 1971. A Bristol RELL6G chassis number RELL3/549 with ECW B45D body number 17166/2 new in May 1969 having been completed September 1968 and delivered between October 1968 and January 1969. Operated from Amesbury, Salisbury and Pewsey. Repainted into NBC bus livery in April 1974 passing to the new Wilts & Dorset Bus Company in April 1983. Withdrawn September 1983 and disposed of to Ensign, Purfleet (dealer). Sold to Servisair for airside work at Stanstead, Heathrow and Manchester airports with internal registration 1448. Bought at auction by Pennine Blue, Ashton, Manchester but never operated. Passed into preservation. Bought by the current owners in October 2006 in Pennine Blue condition and restored to Wilts & Dorset livery late 2007.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

RLJ 793H

 RLJ 793H Fleet number 3033 renumbered 1529 in September 1971. A Bristol LH6L chassis number LH381 with ECW B39D body number 17899/2 new in March 1970 working from Eastleigh, Fareham and Basingstoke receiving NBC bus livery in April 1975. Withdrawn from service in August 1977 passing into the Provincial fleet as fleet number 48 in NBC green livery until being finally withdrawn in October 1978. Purchased by Martins, Middlewich (dealer) in October 1978 passing to Bowers, Chapel on le Frith in November 1978. Purchased for preservation in December 1992. TRU 947J

 TRU 947J Fleet number 846 renumbered 620 in September 1971. A Bristol RELL6G chassis number RELL3/1303 with ECW DP50F body number 18608/2 new in January 1971 working from Salisbury, Pewsey, Poole and briefly Lymington receiving NBC local coach (dual purpose) livery in January 1974 passing to the new Wilts & Dorset Bus Company in April 1983. Withdrawn from service in October 1990 and sold into preservation being restored into Wilts & Dorset dual purpose livery. It was purchased by the current owners in September 1992. 

  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

CRU 301L

  CRU 301L Fleet number 3301 although originally allocated 1301. A Bristol VR chassis number SL2/362 6LX with ECW H43/31F body number 19989 new in December 1972 passing to Hampshire Bus Company in April 1983. Apart from a few weeks in October 1988 when it worked from Winchester its entire service life was at Basingstoke. Withdrawn from service in November 1988. Sold to John Pike Coaches at Andover from service. Series 3 front dash and rear panels were fitted. Passed into initial preservation in October 2001. It came into its current ownership in March 2009 and is currently laid up. 

 

NEL 845M

 

NEL 845M Fleet number 3512. A Bristol LH6L with chassis number LH723 and ECW B43F body number 20258/2 new in August 1973 working from Basingstoke and Winchester. Withdrawn from service in August 1980. Purchased by Ensignbus, Purfleet (dealer) in March 1983 passing to the National Coal Board and then to Jenkins, Skewen in August 1985 and then into preservation. Purchased by the current owners in May 1995 and currently laid up. 

 
 
 
 

ORU 532M

 

 ORU 532M Fleet number 3532 renumbered to 9077 in the service fleet in January 1983. A Bristol LH6L chassis number LH945 with ECW B43F body number 21324/2 new in May 1974 featuring a cutaway front for Sandbanks to Studland ferry operation. Operated at Andover, Bournemouth, Poole and Swanage passing to the new Wilts & Dorset Bus Company in April 1983. Withdrawn from passenger service in January 1982 and converted to a tree lopper at the Barton Park, Eastleigh central works for the service fleet being based at Poole. Withdrawn in January 2002 when it passed to the current owners for preservation. Currently the groups internal service vehicle.

JJT 446N

  JJT 446N  Fleet number 3334 later renumbered 4334. A Bristol VR chassis number SL2/1100 6LX with ECW H43/31F body number 20966 new June 1975. Worked from Southampton, Poole, Basingstoke and Salisbury passing to the new Wilts & Dorset Bus Company April 1983. During allocation to Salisbury Guide Friday livery was applied for the Stonehenge Tour. Withdrawn January 2002 when it passed into current ownership for preservation. Currently undergoing an engine rebuild and preparation for repainting. 

 
 
 
 

UFX 858S Closed Top

 UFX 858S Fleet number 3377. A Bristol VR with chassis number SL3/969 6LXB with ECW CO43/31F body number 22391 new in September 1977. Worked at Poole from November 1977 following storage at Barton Park, Eastleigh. Withdrawn in May 1979. Together with five sister vehicles it passed to Southern Vectis in exchange for six standard VR’s. Sold to Newbus, Nettlestone trading as Westbrook Travel in May 1998. Leased to Robinson, Sandown trading as Seaview Services in October 2003. Purchased by the current owners in March 2006 and restored to Hants & Dorset livery in November 2007.
